First, you need photoshop

Installing Fonts and Brush's By Pelon!
CHEA! I'm going to show you bitches how to put in brushes and fonts to use with Photoshop.
Let's start with brushes.
First you got to download them (save to disk):
browse.deviantart.com/resources/applications/psbrushes/
The way I do is it download them to my desktop all at once. Pick out some nice ones and click download.
When you're finished place them all in one area (of your desktop) and select ALL of them. Right click and hit cut.
Open 'My Computer' > 'Local Disk (C' > 'Program Files' > 'Adobe' > 'Photoshop CS' > 'Presets' > 'Brushes'
Right click and hit paste. There ya go!
If you didn't understand that then go to the start menu and click Run...
Type in: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Presets\Brushes
And hit OK. File should open; right click and hit paste.
Open Photoshop and click your Brush Tool. Check your brushes and it should be in there. If not, load it..
Cool, you have brushes.
Now the Fonts.
I get all my fonts from dafont. (You need WinZip!)

This shouldn't be too hard. Find some fonts you like and download them. Same as with the brushes. EXCEPT this time you have to unzip the file.
Open the zipped file and on the right click 'Extract All Files'. A wizard should appear depending on how ancient your computer is.
Click 'Next' and where it says 'Files Will Be Extracted to This Directory' change it to C:\WINDOWS\Fonts
Click next again and click finish. YaY you have nice fonts. Sometimes they will come with txt files. Don't worry, it won't mess up your fonts or your computer.
It's basically the same for any font site you download from. Don't limit yourself to dafont. 
The Basics of using Photoshop By Residental Dj!
(/> means then)
Making a new document.
Now once Photoshop has loaded up, Click 'File /> New' And a new page like this should show up,
now make sure yours is set to pixels, if your making a signature the width should mainly be between 350 and 500 and the height should be between 120 and 160, then hit 'OK',
How to use your Brush's.
Now you have a white background, to add a really nice background with your installed brush's click on the brush logo,
If the image is not the same as the 1 is the picture then right click the icon and click the brush icon, now pick your colour (There are two box's for your colours the top 1 is the main colour which will appear when you use your brush and the box at the back is used for storing colours) and brush away at your layer, Remember you get a better effect if you click with your brush and not drag it.
How to insert Text.
Now to add a Text simply click on the 'T' on your tool bar on the left hand side of your screen in Photoshop, Once you've done that to change your text on your font
the highlited text in the picture is what text you are using, click the arrow next to the highlited text and more 'fonts' will appear simply go through them and pick your favourite font (To preveiw each font Click on the Layer with the 'T' objext and type your text then click on photoshop your text you are using and make sure it is highlited and simply scroll down with the scroll button on your mouse, the font on your screen which you have typed should change each time you scroll)
Making a new Layer.
Now if you would like to make a new Layer Press and Hold these keys on your key board whilst in Photoshop, 'Ctrl / Alt / Shift / N' and a new layer will appear,

Cutting out the background of your pictures.
Now when you cut out Renders/Pictures you need to be patient cutting out can take time depending on how big the picture is, First click on the 'Polygon Lasso Tool'
If the icon is not the same as the one in the picture i posted then right click it and click the right icon it should be called 'Polygon Lasso Tool', Now copy and paste your image into the layer, Resize the picture by clicking and holding 'Ctrl / T' and make it the right size for your Layer, Then with your Polygon Lasso Tool go around your image, Once it's all joined back up press and Hold 'Ctrl / Alt / Shit / I' and then press delete, Now if you would like image edgers to look better and so people cant see the jaggerd edges on them before pressing delete press and hold 'Ctrl / Alt / D' and a box will come up  Make the Feather Radius 1 to 3 when deleting the background off a picture, Then click 'OK' and press delete
Making a border.
Now when you make a border make sure you make a new Layer at the top of all the layers and once done that press and hold 'Ctrl / A' then click 'Edit /> Stroke' and a box will pop up,
Make the border 1 - 3 Px's and choose the colour you would like to use for your border, Then click 'OK' and your done.

Hope this works the first time. Didn't know if you wanted to make a new thread or post in here. Oh well, it can be fixed. 
PELON'S TUT
OK THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE A SIMPLE SIG! like mine!
Note: No one is going to turn perfect their first go. It takes time ok? So be patient.
Ok Let's start a new document. Maybe a size like 400X125 pixels.
Like this:
Hit D. This will give you your default colors. Then hit Alt + Backspace. Your background (bg) should turn black.
Now hit x. This will change your brush to your secondary color. Your defaults should be black and white so it should change to white on top.
Hit ctrl + shift + n to make a new layer. Hit ok.
Select your brush tool  , pick a nice brush, and start brushing (click 1-3 times somewhere). Switch up on brushes so it don't all look the same.
Here's what I got:
Creat a new layers, hit x and brush black. Creat a new layer, hit x and brush white.
Do this like 4-5 times until you get something you like.
Here's what I got:
 
Now go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Brightness/Contrast
Hit OK and set it to 15/20 
Find A nice Picture of Someone You're going to use. I'm going to use this (Common):
Cut it and insert it. If you don't know how to cut, oh well. Sike I'll make a TuT on that if yous PM me.
Resize it to fit, I'm going to adjust my sig size because the pic is too small.
Here's what I got:
Now Duplicate That layer once (ctrl + J) and go Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur .. set it to 6.0
Set that Behind The First copy 
Now go Back to your original one and Duplicate it again once (ctrl + j)
Go to Filter > Blur > Motion Blur -- Set the angle to 45 degrees and the distance to 80 pixels
Chea your image should be blurry. Now Duplicate that one about 3-5 times. (ctrl + j) and move them in different areas
Now Merge all them layers that are blurry together. (ctrl E)
Set the blending mode to overlay 
Move That Layer under the original picture and the gaussian blurred picture
Now you have some color. Woop woop.
Go To Layer > new Adjustment Layer > brightness/contrast > set it to 25/40 respectively.
Hit D
Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Gradient Map .. hit ok and pick this option and hit ok again
Set the Opacity to that to 60% and the Fill to 40%
ok it's a little blurry so we going to fix that!
Creat new layer ctrl + shift + n --hit ok
Go To Image > Apply Image
Now go to Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen
Cool.
Add some text and you're basically done.
After text is added create a new layer.
Go to Select > All and then go to edit > Stroke > put the options to 1 px,inside and pick a color that will match your sig. Hit ok and save as .psd so you can go back and edit it if you need to.
To uplaod it save it as .bmp or .jpeg
EASY! my sigs go a little more into detail and requrie a little more time which I don't have right now.. This is just a simple way. If you practice this a lot you can make it in 5-10 minutes.
Basically, just experiment as much as you can until you find something you like and develop your own style.

Sockers Tutorial
This is how you make a great standing out sig, Like pelon said this takes time and practice.
Ok First make a new document
Then find an image you would like to use for this sig
and copy and paste it into your sig and resize it if it needs resizing (Ctrl + T),
Cut out your image 'Read the first post i did it should help'
now get the Rectangualr Marque Tool
And with that make a line down the middle like this
And then make sure you are still on your picture layer and press (Ctrl + C ) (Ctrl + V ) (Ctrl + T) then drag the image across and it will turn out like this
Then click the arrow in the tools bar (Top right) and click 'Apply' then it will look stretched, then turn that layer to 'soft light' or 'overlay' and make your picture image layer not visible, it should then look like this
after all of that go to your background layer (The bottom layer) and get your brush and brush onto that layer make sure the colour of your brush is black and maybe fiddle about with a few more colours to blend in with your picture,
and also you can change your brush as many times as you want you shouldn't use the same brush all the time
you should now see a faded line going across your page
Now, that is your background, Make your picture visible again, and duplicate it,
Now with your bottom layer click it and then click on *Filter > Blur > Guassian Blur* make it about 7.5 and hit Ok, now with your duplicated layer (The top layer) click on it and go around the shape of him with your Polygonal Laso Tool but leave some space between him and your lasso tool, it should look like this when it's joined up,
Then press *Ctrl + Alt + D* and type in about 15 then hit Ok,then press together *Ctrl + Alt + Shift + I* and then press delete, as you should notice it will have left a blury smuge around the image,
Now for the text, Use a Grunge style text, and maybe depending on the background i chose white to write in, im using the text from his album cover, Once writen your text duplicate it, and again make the bottom text 'Guassian Blur' something will pop up saying this layer must be rasterized click ok, then ok again, now it's left a white smudge in the background, i've changed the top colour now to black so it can be read easily,
The second text is my Name 'Res Dj' i will use 'Impact' for this, type your name in, again i used the colour white for this, now right click the text layer and click 'Blending options' and set these settings,
and the text should look something like this,
Now make a new layer underneath that text layer, and get out your line tool
Now hold Shift and draw a line underneath it just abit smaller than the text, then right click the line and click 'Make selection' then make sure its set at 0 and press Ok, then press, Shift + Backspace, and fill it with white or what ever your text colour is, now go to 'Filter > Blur > Motion Blur' make sure its at an angle of '0' and about 19 pixels and press ok and then maybe turn the layer to 'softlight' or 'overlay'
Now the border, make a new Layer at the top of all the layers and press 'Ctrl + A' then go to 'Edit > Stroke' then make the colour Black with a 1 or 2 Px then press ok.
Heres my finished Sig
And thats it all done
This should take you maybe 10 - 15 minutes to do, i didn't try one bit at makin it i just wanted the information correct and understadning.
Me and pelon aren't botherd whos Tut is the best we just want to see how you all got on with them,
