Nikki "Hoopz" Alexander (Born July 12, 1983 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American model and actress, best known as the winner of the first season of the VH1 reality dating show, Flavor of Love.
Biography
Nicole Deannae Alexander was born to an Italian-American mother and an African-American father. Alexander is a model and has appeared in publications such as King magazine, pin-up calendars, and on the Internet. She appears in music videos, such as the video for Will Smith's song, "Party Starter", and in the video for Lil Keke's song "Chunk Up the Deuce" in commercials, and in a small role in a Mekhi Phifer movie that is coming out this summer titled "Easier, Softer Way." On the Flavor of Love reunion show, Flavor Flav confirmed that he and Hoopz are done, citing that she is "too busy" for him.
On June 13 2006, Alexander was arrested at her home in Dearborn, Michigan after an altercation with a police officer.[1] The police responded to a noise complaint from her neighbors regarding loud music and she protested. She claims that the police officer was the instigator and grabbed her by her neck. While her neighbors claim that visitors to Alexander's home disrespect the neighborhood, Alexander believes her neighbors dislike her, her family and friends because they are mostly black. Hoopz has been given several scripts for different movies, including Mekhi Phifer's new movie. She also has a lead role in an upcoming film. Hoopz was released on bail on June 14, 2006. She plays a small role in Mekhi Phifer's movie, Puff Puff Pass.
Hoopz was recently featured on an episode of Nick Cannon's Wild N Out.
Rumors have begun to circulate that Hoopz is pregnant with the son of Dwyane Wade though no evidence has been shown to back this up.
Flavor of Love
Nikki is mostly known as "Hoopz" on Flavor of Love, due to her love of basketball. She had arguments with New York, another contestant, and Flavor Flav's ex-girlfriend, Brigitte Nielsen. She also worked with her uncle fixing houses. Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
On the final episode of Flavor of Love, Hoopz and fellow contestant New York showed up to the elimination ceremony wearing the same dress. After a brief feud between them about which one of them fit their dress the best, Flav made his decision to keep Hoopz. She was then presented with a set of gold teeth to match Flav's.
In the new XXL magazine Hoopz has admitted to being HIV positive. She says it was contracted by a rapper,she did not disclose a name.
