Its the people who run the music industry(RIAA) They raided DJ Drama and Cannon's camp with guns and dogs and confiscated 50,000 Cd's which were probably underground talent next to come up. DJ Drama was a dude making lots of money independently. They can't stand to someone like that making money.MIXTAPES ARE AN OUTLET FOR RAPPERS TO SAY WHAT THE LABELS WOULDN'T LET THEM SAY ON THEIR ALBUMS! and still make a profit....this is sooo important because the music industry already has too much control over artisitic expression, BUT NOW THEY WANT CONTROL OVER UNDERGROUND HIP-HOP which is probably hip-hop's last remaining true means of expression.
