Seriously. I dont see what was so special about this MC.
He had an annoying sound, like he was choking on his fat neck, like a blocked nose or something - just sounded whack. He had good flow and all - but after 3 songs I can't bear to listen to anymore.
He is over-rated. Made 2 albums, both on subjects that were no way realistic to him. He wasnt a gangsta, never killed people, he grew up comfortably. It was basically made up.
He never replied to "Hit 'em Up". Probably knew he couldn't stand up to Pac's diss.
I just don't see how he can be rated a better MC then rappers such as; KRS-One, Big L, 2pac, Eminem, Jay-Z, Nas, Ice Cube etc.
Anyone agree?

Totally disagree. Biggie way betta than the wrappas u named, even 2Pac. All 2Pac wrapped about is 'niggas', 'muthafuckas' and all that shit. Biggie had originality in his rhymes sounded betta.

Naw you're not the only one, I also didn't care for Biggie, nor did I care for Gay-Z. I can at least STAND Biggie, I can't fuckin stand Jay, he's just fuckin wack, his flow is boring, and he's never rapped about anything that really compelled me to listen. I also never cared for his boring beats either. Now I know what everyone is gonna say. "music isn't all about beats" Blah blah blah. Truth is, I don't listen to music for beats, I listen to music for substance and originality, and Biggie and Jay just never did it for me.

I joined this site in 06 - I knew hardly anything about rap...thats why hes in there. Now I have listened to his shit, and other peoples shit I can now judge.
