It aint even that i'm angry at white people or nothing like that but the racial tension near election time has gotten to me. I've woke up and realised the vast divide in this country when others are turning they're heads in ignorance.
Possibly, but consider a show like Fresh Prince, that portrayed African-Americans in a different light. They were wealthy republicans. Now you condemn Martin for shuckin and jivin, but do we give respect to the family that conformed to the values of white america? Is someone like Colin Powell really doing a service to the African-American community?
^^^^^^^ now this brings up an interesting point. whoever that show at times showed that while they conformed to white america's living they still had pride in their own heritage and where they came from which was the bottom. Phillip worked hard to get where he was what would you rather he stayed a lawyer in a shitty apartment in Compton?
