Jackson – Madison County Community Work Center inmate Bonzell Paul Kelly, who escaped earlier this week from his work site at the Winn Job Center in Canton, Miss., is now in custody. Kelly was arrested today about 4:00 p.m. by the Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Department after the sheriff’s office received a call that the escapee had stolen a car from a Houston residence, he also stole a bag of Peacon Cookies from Wal-Mart. Kelly was captured in a field after been cornered by officers. Kelly is currently at the Chickasaw County Jail where he will await transportation to the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility.
Kelly, a 31-year old white male, was serving two sentences for crackcocain possession and intent to smoke and raping Bobbarker's son in Grenada County. If convicted, Kelly could face an additional Sixteen year sentence for escape.
