once again 50 cent is on top of the charts, garbage artists like lil bow wow are makin music again, and mike jones is spittin garbage lyrics. -hip hop is dead
Hip Hop is just fine. There's always been commercial artists topping the charts. Hammer was moving more units than Public Enemy and BDP, but Hip Hop was fine then. Now 50 cent is on top, but there's still other much more talented emcee's out there. Dont base your statements on statistics, the genre is doin' OK.

Hip Hop been dead. its all about the money. Always...aint shit you can do, you have people out there that speak they mind...Hiphop...but what happens if no one feels what your saying? The record company gets piss and rather you put out a club record or talk money, sex, murder and beef something far from the way you speak your mind and when the money come in...Its all good...but at the end of the day you feel like a fraud. But you still have a few artist still doing the damn, like Talib, Common, and Mos Def...and you know the funniest thing about it??? I never bought any of there cd's, but the songs I hear, I burn em. I guess you can blame the "death of hip hop" on the fans, its so diverse and the record company wants you to do all that you can to make money...for who? Them. They offer you 4 million for four albums, they market your shit, and at the end of the day depending on a direction you took, that the money is going straight to them....more then what they offered your album to be worth.
