flow. If a rapper can ride the beat tight, no matter what he say it'll sound good. Some rappers go out of they way to throw punches in every damn line and throw everything off.

personally punchlines cuz word play will stick out more than flow eventually. people listin to rap to listin to the wordplay. you can have good punchlines and bad flow and people will still listen to what you say. now flow will make you sound more essential and will show off skill but anybody can group words together and make a flow but not everybody can be unique with rhymepatterns and word play. so which would you rather listin to some one who flows but aint really saying shit. or some one who aint really flow but says shit. to me it's good to have both but not everyone can be perfect can they

Battles you need to have good punchlines(especially in text). People who think they can get by with just flow are wack.

Since you dont need punchlines in non-battle tracks flow is much more important.

Flow is also more important in audio than in text.

they kinda go hand in hand.. you cant have a sick flow wit shitty punchlines or vice versa.. if you got no flow and have sick punchlines ur still gonna be garbage.. you gotta mix it up with both, i say a better flows more important than punchlines tho kna i mean?
