oh snap i feel you. them songs that you listen to and just feel embarrassed on behalf of the artist, the label, hip hop, and the entire human race... that rick ross song is the most repetitive and stupid song i heard in a while, then yung joc, that new kelis song "bossy", ll cool j, and the list goes on and on...

^^^LMAO but i see what ya point is. But what ya may need to t understand is hook necessary don't have to be lyrically good just extremely catchy. I will admitt that i will end up liking a song just cause the hook was catchy. What alot ppl. need to realize is that Hip-Hop does have different aspects to its music. U have ya lyricst and then ya party-rockers. Nas is one of my fav. artist but at a party I'm not really tryin to hear One Mic I'm tryin to hear something upbeat i can dance to and more importantly what tha ladies will dance to. I will say at times there's too much party music coming from Hip-Hop but u have to respect that aspect of it cause it helped put Hip-Hop on tha map and gain creditibility.
nobody in the mainstream has any lyrical talent anymore... with the exception of Nas, Lil Wayne and Cassidy... and even Cassidy and Wayne have their fucking "I got big cars and bitches" songs. That shit is trash.
